inst-pII-2.gif (2985 bytes) Prepare Base
Place filter cloth in trench and up cut slope.  Fill trench with well graded angular gravel and compact to a depth of 6".
inst-pII-3.gif (2895 bytes) First Course
Position a level string line to mark the location of the first course.  Place units in center of prepared base and ensure unit is level from front to back and side to side.
inst-pII-4.gif (2813 bytes) Stack Units
Sweep units and place next course of units on top in a running bond pattern.   The edge of the unit should be at the middle of the unit below.
inst-pII-5.gif (2869 bytes) Backfill
Place drain tile and free draining soil behind wall.  Place gravel in front of wall to cover the first course.  Compact all soil.  Alternate between backfilling and placing units.
inst-pII-6.gif (3147 bytes) Secure Coping
Use approved adhesive to attach coping to the top of the wall.  Use a line of adhesive near the front and back of the unit.
inst-pII-7.gif (2170 bytes) Finish Grading
Pull filter cloth towards top of wall and cover with soil.  Ensure water will run away from wall.
